Shri Krishna Matha, Udupi

I was on my way to somewhere aimlessly and all of a sudden I blessed with something that I realized later is nothing but miracle. It so happened with me again that I was landed in place where I could discover the meaning of peace and happiness together. I was left alone, with all unknown faces around me, completely clueless, no idea whatsoever to where to go and what to do but my journey was never so meaningful ever. As said - god had HIS own plans and after a travel of 6 hrs I reached Udupi, a place well known for its temples. I welcomed by one of the pleasantly weather that one can ever imagine in that region. It was a sunny and bright day outside with a breeze of relief. I jumped out of the bus quickly to take the walk and then searching for the destination that brought me here from so far ...

Now putting those memories in words here is something I really wanted for long time but it seems to be a not so easy task for me, whatever it maybe I made an effort not to show off it. Those are the moments or I can say the memories that drags you back and when you find that you are completely lost with it, again there is this thing known as miracle happened to you and put everything right on its place. Nevertheless, you see life is as beautiful as before and thank every single thing around you for making it so blissful for you.

Udupi Krishna Temple, otherwise know as Udupi Krishna Matha is a very popular Hindu temple in India. I have copied the information from Wikipedia that gives a good insight about the temple and the history associated with it.
The Krishna Mutt was founded by the Vaishnavite saint Shri Madhvacharya in the 13th century. He was the founder of the Dvaita school of Vedanta.

Legend has it that once Kanakadasa, a worshipper who was so pious and devoted to Lord Krishna, was not allowed entry into the temple. It didn't upset him, but instead made him pray with intense devotion. Lord Krishna was so pleased that he made the statue of himself turn around to allow the disciple to gaze upon his heavenly form through a small window at the back of the mutt (matha). Till today, devotees still worship Lord Krishna by praying through the same window that Kanakadasa was blessed with a view.

The daily sevas (offerings to god) and administration of the Krishna Mutt are managed by the Ashta Mathas (eight temples). Each of the Ashta Mathas performs temple management activities for two years in a cyclical order. These eight Mathas are Pejavara, Puttige, Palimaru, Adamaru, Sodhe, Kaniyooru, Shirur and Krishnapura.

Here you go with few of the pictures that I have taken in that short stay near the temple. Since cameras are strictly not allowed inside the temple I didn't miss any chance of clicking the pictures from the outside.

The main entrance to the temple.

The chariot used for the bi-yearly festival, I spotted it just outside the temple.

Walking around the temple was a different experience for me and exploring the shops near the temple brought me a renewed sense of a happy customer.

Weekend ways, movie mania !!!

I am back here again after a gap. Needless mentioning I am held up with tons of work and working long hours in office is what I find the only way to make myself free. How I wish, I have four hands :) and two brains with 2 GHz dual core inbuilt processors to finish my work quickly whenever I wanted to...

Somehow I managed to watch a movie this week by taking off some free time. And I can’t believe the way I found this movie to watch and finally finishing it without taking a break or skipping a single sense. The movie was Serendipity, overall it was a great movie to watch. A perfect love story, I enjoyed it the way I did after watching the movie “A lot like love”. This was little older movie than the later but still I was never missed to watch this version of the love story. Now the interesting thing was that I picked this movie accidently and the story of the movie also talks about things happened accidently and how everything in our life happens for a reason. I must say it’s a well crafted movie and worth the time spent watching it.

The tagline of the movie is really appealing “Can Once In A Lifetime Happen Twice?” I could only able to realize how this movie coincidently put across all those untold things of life that somehow somewhere cross the path of most of us. And the best quote I picked from this movie - "Life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. And how do you figure out that something is going to happen or not in the very next moment, "Maybe the absence of signs is a sign."

I also watched another movie I guess sometime last week and surprisingly it’s neither English nor Hindi but Telugu. Actually I was counting it for the second time, in the first occasion I watched it all in first forward (FF) mode and I liked the movie very much. The fact remained the same for the second time also that I don’t understand Telugu but thanks to the English sub-titles for making it easy for me. I know most of you must have heard about this movie called “Bomarillu” (english meaning: A toy-house). A blockbuster movie which gave a different angle to the thoughts that not all movies with love story are the same. And yeah, you are right, though the story revolves around the hero and majority of it goes to Siddarth, I bet Genelia D'Souza performed exceptionally well in this movie. Now if you say, I am watching lots of Romantic/Family movies now a day, then well! I had enough with action and si-fi series and giving them a break from this hyper-active brain :D

Now, before I go and wait for the next weekend to pop up here and you guys switch from my blog to some other url, make sure you listen to this song of Bomarillu because that's my favorite. Hey, then possibly don't forget to find your DVD to watch it completely, if you were not already watched.

Quote(s) of the day!!!

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking, and don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.

Unmistakable?

Anytime, anywhere, anyplace
You could be anyone today.
Maybe I would recognize you on a crowded street

Maybe you'll take me by surprise
Will you be the one I had in mind

There'll come a day
When you'll walk out of my dreams
Face to face
Like I'm imagining
Baby how can I be sure
That you're the one I'm waiting for
Will you be unmistakable

Unmistakable

People say we're watching our lives
Through a glass
Desperately waiting on a chance
I know you're out there
Holding on, holding out for me

How are we to know the time is right
What if you're here and I'm just blind

How can I know a song I never heard
How will I know your voice
When you haven't said a word

How do I know how this will end
Before we begin

Before we begin

There'll come a day
When you walk out of my dreams

Face to face (face to face)
Like I'm imagining (Like I'm imagining)
Baby, how can I be sure (how can I be sure)
That you're the one I'm waiting for (You're the one I'm waiting for)
Will you be (will you be), Will you be (will you be)

Unmistakable, Unmistakable?

Gloomy rainy eyes !!!

It was raining again here in B’lr. So here you go with some of the pictures I clicked on my way back...

I can see and I can't see what the world around becomes on a rainy day.

I am stuck as everyone else on the road watching artificial lights toggling and waiting for the rain to stop.

I am painted with many colors that is inspired by the thoughts of a not so intelligent mind.

I have not lost my ways but I have explored it all with different eyes.

Treasure – The Choco Smiles

I have had experience being special in every small ways, and I thank god for giving me all those happy & cherished moments. With each such moment I am convinced fully with the idea that a gift can never be weighed by the money spent on it but the love and respect tied with it. And truly, there is no shape, size or time for giving a gift to someone you really mean it.

It happened to me some long time back; I had received a pack of chocolates from an unidentified source (hahahah!!). I didn’t know who send it to me. The only thing I knew that my name was written on the ‘to address’ and it did its part of magic to bring a big smile on my face and nevertheless I re-visited those days I left some 20 or more years ago. It was then the days when I didn't know anything what a chocolate is for but always wish to have one in my hand and melt it inside the mouth. How I wish to see the crowd around me again, who enjoyed their part of share from it :)

Without thinking much, I recognized it as the treasure for having some great people around me. Though at that time I was at the receiver end, it was not difficult for me to understand 'the gift of giving something you have'. If I think of that day today, I can only wonder who that person can be!!!

I picked this picture today from my dusty memory for Cuckoo’s Point & Shoot gallery. I still remember, I put some of those chocolates on the table and just clicked on it and now it looks to me a thing of almost a year back happened as if yesterday :)

Walking Away !!!

I can’t say, I am a BIG fan of Craig David but certainly I like his songs. And this one is most likely one of the best music video I have seen in the recent past. It’s your turn now, if you have not seen it, already.

Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away

Sometimes some people get me wrong
When its something Ive said or done
Sometimes you feel there is no fun
Thats why you turn and run
But now I truly realise
Some people dont wanna cpomromise
Well I saw them with my own eyes spreading those lies
And well I dont wanna live my life too many sleepless nights
Not mentioning the fights Im sorry to say lady

Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away

Well Im so tired baby
Things you say youre driving me away
Whispers in the powder room baby
Dont listen to the games they play
Girl I thought youd realise
Im not like them other guys
Coz I saw them with my own eyes
You shouldve been more wise
And well I dont wanna live my life too many sleepless nights
Not mentioning the fights Im sorry to say lady

Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away from the troubles in my life
Im walking away oh to find a better day
Im walking away ...

When will be the today?

Sometime, I wonder some people really don’t live their present and they always live with a hope of tomorrow. The whole point here is why wasting all your good time by giving it to such people? You can't really help it.

An Interview that happened today :-

Interviewer (starting with the first question) : How much rating you will give to your C Programming skill in the scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest score).

Candidate (very thoughtful posture with her ever slow accent) : I want two days of time to rate myself.

Interviewer (wondering about what answer is this, two days ...) : Is that so difficult? You can rate yourself as of today, wouldn’t you?

Candidate (still thinking, hiding her confusion) : Right now I rate myself 2 but if you can give me two days of time then I would like to rate myself 5.

Interviewer (trying to clear the confusion about rating) : you are rating low on the day of Interview and expecting a good rating after two days? Hope you are prepared for today. Moreover, you have mentioned in your CV that you have one year of Industry experience.

Candidate (with a blank gaze) : I mean, I can still do better...

Interviewer (thinking to pick the most simple question) : Okay, we will start then ….

What is the return type of printf() function?

Candidate (charging up) : I don’t think prinft() function returns any value because its used to print the characters.

Interviewer (no reaction to the stupid answer, going ahead with the next question) : What is a pointer?

Candidate (thinking her first answer is correct, gaining back her confidence – answering quickly) : Pointer is used to fetch data from database.

Interviewer (enough for the day, wondering from where this database came into picture) : Ok, so we are done !! Thanks for your time here today with us. Any question from your side that you would like to ask us?

Candidate (with a wide smile) : No, I don’t have any question. Thank you!

Interviewer (copying the same wide smile on his face, still wondering … ) : Sure!

And finally, after the candidate left the room; he pulled the feedback form and started laughing while drawing the biggest ZERO, till now on an A4 Sheet.

Is that the time or the attitude or the untold effort that mark the difference between today and tomorrow? Perhaps, its mix of all of them and just waiting/wanting for the time or passing by the time wouldn’t bring any changes someone like to see.

Kya apko K.I.L.B hai?

I am hearing lot about an ad, now days and I guess it is rightly pumping the curiosity among the viewers before the actual product or whatever hits the market. I don’t know the purpose of this Ad, it looks pretty ordinary though and maybe another stupid, malicious Ad on the row. I know most of such Ads used as part of viral marketing and immediately vanish from the earth. I am not a marketing expert but that’s my opinion.

“Kya apko K.I.L.B hai?” Here, Irfaan Khaan is appeared as a doctor and asking this question, I am not sure to whom he is asking and what could be the idea behind such a question without giving a background. And the other big question is when he became a doctor from an actor? I think, he best suits with the later and seeking help for the publicity of the product and for himself.

The other thing is this speculation that it’s a Vodafone Ad for the launching of its iPhone services, remember the earlier Ads by Irfaan Khaan for Vodafone. No doubt he is a fine actor but those Ads are no better than shit. As stupid as the Ad maybe I am, by clicking this picture on my way back to home few days ago but you need to dump that shit :D

BTW, the purpose of this blog is to mark the waiting for formal/official launch of iPhone services in India, and as always my bet is on Airtel only.

I am looking forward to experience one of the best gadgets ever created by human mind so far, who cares in what format of advertisement is used by the services providers or anybody for that matters.

P.S : What could be the full form of K.I.L.B ? it can be anything you wish to put in there like, Khote iPhone Leneka Bemari :D

*** Update : One of my friend told me that it looks to turn out something different, heheheee, I mean ... K.I.L.B – Kyonki I love BIGAdda. If it is true then I pity on those advertiser's effort and nevertheless the product itself. I am not sure what next though :D

Glimpse of Chilika lake

From my reminiscences, here I am today to tell you about one of the amazing train ride I had. I was specifically took the early morning train to Bhubaneswar the reason being to watch the sun climbing up from behind one of the amazingly beautiful lake somebody could ever see. My destination was different but I was utterly delighted by the glimpse of this lake on my way.

Chilika is one of the largest brackish water lakes in Asia covering more than 1,000 sq. kms and also uniquely popular for its bird sanctuary. It is situated east coast of India, around 105 K.Ms south of Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Orissa. So here you go with my collection of photographs that I have taken while the train passing by the southern part of Chilika, a stretch of around 40 K.Ms.

The bridge over Rushikulya river , Just after few K.ms from Berhampur.

"You don't need somebody to interpret for you what a beautiful sunrise it is."

The first close encounter with the lake, its nevertheless looks like a sea …

East-Coast Railways tracks running side by side of the lake.

Passing by Chilika Railway Station

You can find the details information about Chilika by checking the official website here.

P.S: All of the pictures were taken form inside the moving train.

Hey, rains come again :)

It was one of those hectic week at my work place and barely able to find time to do anything else apart from the office works. Imagine, coming back from office and you even don’t feel like removing those cloths or searching for the right one and just like that go to bad to signal that end of day; the very next day you find your things are scattered everywhere inside the house; the books, clothes and everything else :). Oh! I realized then at times we also need to be focused on balancing the time for works at home is also important. But again it’s an art that we learn everyday and try to improve everyday. Yeah! The good thing is that I am not tired of doing all those works and until now nobody has complained about it, hopefully I can finish them over the coming weekend.

Yesterday, I thought of starting at the usual time from office (work hours) and luckily I did manage to do so. I don’t know whether it was by luck or something … I encountered with some real special things, the memories where refreshed and without no time the child inside me took over the control :). Can you guess who are they? Yeah! you are right, clouds and rains :P... Do I really need to say that they are the welcome guest in B’lr and they don’t follows anybody’s time rule (ummmh! maybe only one person’s). Not so surprisingly! it was started pouring heavily, just when people were on their way to catch the buses/cabs parked around the campus. I noticed that all of a sudden most of them rushed to the opposite direction finding a place to shed. When I reached the at ground floor entrance/exit corridor to discover a crowd, that was already waiting there for rains to stop (I guess they were the most affected ones :) ). Some of them were mumbling ufff this rain ... blah blah ...

I already had a glimpses of the rain while coming down the stairs and that was enough for me to knowledge the nature's call without being wasting any more time to disappear with the crowd ;). And as usual my third eye was quite alerted not to miss any of those awing moments.

my favorite ...

I walked slowly towards the crowd to find a narrow path, and there I go ... on my way soaking the rain water, enjoying the rhythms, feeling the touch of the silvery drops, gradually losing yourself with the amazingly weather surrounding and then leaving behind some shouts from unseen faces... Hahahahah!!!

I know an inspired soul can do amazing stuffs :) and the weather needs no words.

on way back; I was at cloud 9 :D

'Kya aapko K.I.L.B hai?' Any ides what this guy is asking ? :D

Oh! did I mention? after reaching home I just went on to sleep without doing anything until buddy woke me up at 4 A.M :D

And I didn’t find a better time than this to think about what happened yesterday, and to quote the un-quote ..

"May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you and all your heart might desire."

You guys have a wonderful day!
