Holidaying @ Gopalpur
The hot weather and the wild wind doing all that magic that I don’t want to miss in this summer, a pleasant evening.

This is one of the quite beaches that is not yet much exposed to the outside world but still people find their way out here to grab a slice of serenity.at 18:53 13 comments

Weekend in pics
Sipping slowly, to get over with the day ahead. Like someone has already said - a morning without coffee is like sleep.
A flowery decoration was done inside the Garuda Mall to celebrate “Ugadi”. The festival marks the New Year day in Karnataka, and the reason for the bonus holiday :)
Tandoori gobi in brunch

Shopping spree at 5th Avenue, Brigade Road, I grabbed my most favorite rock band’s tee shirt.

Sunday Breakfast
The Dosa lover I am!!!...
healthy Idiyappam

My favorite Puri!

When you are in Cheenai, Saravanan Bhavan is always a better choice for a perfect southie breakfast. I don’t know if this breakfast can be called as King Size but surely this quote goes well with it :) “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper”

Adieu!
The unending sky & heavenly sunshine on the way...
I never wanted to let go those moments, they were silently become part of my life and blessed me on many of the occasions.
The years turned black & white, but the memories nevertheless will remain colorful.

A sailing quote!
Picture : Sunrise at Puri. I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving. To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor.

Murudeshwar - The more I see ...
My travel experience to this place is totally different in many ways, starting from the travel plan till returning back to my pad, everything. I may have surprised myself when I planned it less than in an hour and the mode of communication was the State run local buses, I switched 5 buses to reach at that place. Frankly, the people out there wouldn’t have appreciated so much for a person holding a camera, writing pad and asking them so many questions not in the language that they can easily understand, but they did and everything according to me was part of the memorable trip :)
"Like all great travellers, I have seen more than I remember, and remember more than I have seen."

One of the main attractions of Murudeshwar is the Lord Shiva idol which is visible from a long distance from the Arabian Sea. The length of the idol is 123 feet into the sky and considered as the tallest Shiva idol in the world.
You can visit Murudeshwar any time in the year and it is well connected by Roads, and trains (Konkan Railways). There are many places of tourist interests near murudeshwar, some of them are Jog Falls (90 Kms), Udupi (100 Kms), Gokarna (65 Kms) and Karwar (120 Kms).

Dhauli - There was never a good war or a bad peace.

Vishwa Shanti Stupa, the Peace Pagoda at the top of Dhauli Hill was built by Indo Japanese collaboration in 1972. The shining white structure is built in the form of a massive dome with lotus petals as its crown. The five chhatris (umbrellas) placed on its flattened top represent the five important aspects of Buddhism.
Rock edicts of Asoka
It was a bright sunny day, and I decided to walk alone, never did I realize that I would be witnessing one of the amazing trekking experiences, in a peaceful and serene environment, and yet again a different kind of exploration for me. It wasn't the first time I was there but perhaps the first time holding the clock all by myself and identifying that life can't be an empty promise. Every war made an entry to the history has shown people many paths, what is called searching for the life and in the end the peace without any terms & conditions. So does that mean somewhere a war’s ultimate destination is peace? Sometimes its better not to understand things, however, rather easy to forget them while trying to simplify it with many unknown questions of life, and as said there is no way to peace, but peace is the way. I believe it has the power of a miracle transformation.

Saturday Rainbow
"Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true"
Oh! did I tell you that there were in fact two rainbows, or it was just a reflection of the one? :) :)

Ananta Vasudeva Temple, Bhubaneswar
a side view of the main temple ...

The temple is located very closely to the eastern corner of the Bindu Sagar lake, which offers a magnificent view and another highlight of the visit. And if you walk still further for few minutes, on your right hand side you will find Lingaraj temple, the famous temple of lord Shiva (more on this on a new post).
Due to lack of time, I didn’t able to spend my share of time with the camera but nevertheless these few pictures will serve as a reminder to me that I have to visit that place once again.

Banana chips!!!
Banana chips, very popular in Kerala and locally known as upperi, is fried in coconut oil.
It's cripsy, salty and tasty :)
There are many varieties of banana chips; even you can find sweet deep fried chips. But my focus was on the plain n salty chips which are more popular in terms of its taste. at 08:15 10 comments
