Dostana - No tags!

Yesterday evening, I watched the movie called Dostana, and no surprise it’s an utterly disappointment for me. Ok! I agree – Priynaka Chopra, probably have shown many of us the path in this economy slowdown (not that you just eat less food but wear less cloths :P), and ofcourse! it’s a time pass movie with no sense of direction, but hello! I have a better collection of movies for doing time pass :)

Seriously don’t know why I chose to watch this movie?, ah! maybe because of that "one” nice song ‘Khabar Nahi’.

On the other hand, I can’t believe that people can think and write such disastrous stories and we will pay them for watching it in the movie. That’s really bad, I thought of putting something about that beautiful song and the music but after watching that movie all blah… blah… I can’t help them. But whatever you don’t miss to play that song.

I love that song...and i've gotten myself all psyched up to see the movie. Dont tell me it's going to be a disappointment. But then again, I'm the weirdo who didnt think KANK was as horrible as everyone around me made it sound. So maybe I'll like it after all.

I watched Dostana yesterday evening too. Well I had no plans to watch it, but thought of accompanying my friends. Movies like Dostana bring headaches to me. I mean, it had its share of comedy but still, to me it basically lacked a story and was filled with cliché’s and overacting and absolutely no emotions; especially the climax.
:-)

Fashion though not Madhur Bhandarkar's best, is a much better film than Dostana anytime.

With increasing prices of movie, We need to very carefully pick movies. :-)

LOL..
In my case, I watch a movie when I have nothing better to do and as long as it can hold my attention, and that too, without any expectation..so don't really get disappointed.

yeah the only good thing about the movie was the music and maybe john abrahan (thats if in the end, they dint leave a doubting possibility that he could actually be gay)
otherwise its a typical KJO movie....too much fizz and colour but no flavour :(

vagabond, I didn't know you like hindi songs & movies. Ok! KNNK is not that bad, at least it has one complicated love story :P

But this movie, gosh! A total waste …. I don't know if you will like it?

Ajeya, Yes! Fashion is much better movie than Dostana, and you are right, agreed - we should pick movies carefully especially when we pay for nothing but ridiculous stuff :-)

Winne, I am yet to see ‘Yuvraj’, maybe you are right.

Celine, you are right, hey, even I didn’t have any expectations from these kind of movie. I mean they are just meant for time pass but as you said like – I was unable to hold my attention, that is all about…

Pri, Yes! the music is good and I liked couple of songs in the movie, and maybe that’s the reason why I chose to watch it.

KJO ko kya hogaya hai ? as you said too much colors but no flavors :P

Okay, so I finally watched it last evening, and yup, you were right...i was disappointed by it. I thought it was going to be a really funny movie, and some parts did make me laugh, but for the large part the humor was exaggerated. I'm all for gay rights and all...people can choose whatever sexuality they want...but KJo overplayed the whole gay angle to a point where I was like "get over it already, they're gay, big deal" The story line was a predictable pathetic mess. Seriously KJo, what were you thinking? Or maybe you werent thinking.

Sigh. Right now, I cant get over the "tu muskura" song from yuvraaj...it's just so beautiful. I havent watched the previews or anything though...so dont nobody tell me that that's going to be a disappointment too.

That's the beauty of these movies, you just go see them and then nothing. You gained nothing, but you did laugh a little, maybe cried too.

BTW, I love Bollywood movies and I saw an music video of Dostana in Showbiz India and I thought we'd rent it.

I wonder how much money Dharma Productions might have given to all the Print Media guys who gave a universal 4/5.

Good movies always get the worst response, now only Hoopla works; we dont need good story, direction, actors to make movies work.

In fact, Wikipedia says "DOSTANA" is a big hit with a huge money being recovered during the first week itself.

Long live Marketing, which makes such sick movies click :)

Nandita, I have already watched ‘Dasvidaniya’ last week itself and I liked the movie very much. I must say worth watching it, a post is pending on it.

vagabond, that’s exactly, what I was point out ... the story is pathetic & overplayed. These days you find some nice tracks of movie with pathetic storyline or direction so don’t be surprised if 'yuvraaj' is one :)

Photo Cache, Welcome to my blog.

I am not sure, maybe you are right! but neither I laughed nor I carried while watching 'Dostana'.

Sure, you can go ahead and rent it, your choice :)

Himanshu, you are right, hoopla movies works like magic if they have a star-cast and Yeah! long live marketing!!! You see nothing is fool-proof :)

A, good that you decided to keep your brain aside while watching the movie, but did you able to put it at the right place after the movie? :D
