Cape Comorin - Part I

The much awaited trip to one of my most favorite place in South India was not far away when we decided to visit Kanyakumari. The trip in many ways rejuvenate the memory and everything seems just so just perfect when I think of this place & the calmness stored with the seas to witness on of the exciting weekend trip so far in this year. We started our bus journey towards the gateway of our trip i.e. Nagercoil, which is situated around 550 K.ms away from B'lr. The bus ride on NH 7 & 47 was another highlight of the trip with some glaring early morning views.

Daybreak, view from inside the bus.
The windmills setup and managed by NEPC, on the way to Nagercoil, you can find plenty of these windmills on both sides of the road.

Our first destination was Padmanabhapuram Palace, the historic place is around 15 K.Ms from Nagercoil. It was quite beautiful place and to add that not so crowded, so we found the right combination of time and space for clicking.

Front view of the palace ...

The secret window, you could see the escape route from here!!!

Forgot to count how many people can be accommodated inside this huge hall !!!

The external view of a hall.

Natyasala (Navaratri Mandap), a beautiful and interesting part of the palace.

Think about perfection !!!

Counting the pillars and doors :)

Shops just outside the palace's main gate, where you can find goodies to make your house as beautiful as the palace interiors.

And the journey continues ...
