Life in pieces
I cut myself into pieces to find the joy in simple things, believe in giving, learn to fly and touch the stars. My blood is drying out gradually but still I am breathing the wild air to witness a less complicated world & the life looks happier (or I say peaceful) than before…

The-Weird-Me!
I am not dancing but its tag time, I know most of the times I am far away from this tagging business, and surely added my name in your hate-list. Gosh! that’s the worst thing accepted from anyone. So here I am trying to act like damage controller and started with my first tag of the year and thanks to Cuckoo, for being the source for this time. The tag is all about to let you guys know eight weird things about me.Weird??? Oh! weird, somehow sounds me, who you actually are … but people don’t like to see it that way normally and they often don’t do it either. Now, guess what!!! Its impossible task for me to restrict myself to the number eight because those who know me, they can speak better for me that the weirdo I am :P. So please, don’t skip reading the rest of the post ... here you go….
- Songs : I am very found of music and its become integral part of my life ever since I know what my name is :). Music, songs everywhere, inside my phone, iPod, laptop and whatever that can play it. I load them with my favorite songs & music to make sure where ever I go; I find them without any difficulties. So what’s the weird thing in it? I can listen to one of my favorite song 24x7, you will hardly find there is more than one song in my playlist. I can listen the song continuously non-stop, sometimes for more than a week … For instance, I am listening only one song ‘Life In Technicolor II - Coldplay’ for the last three days. I know some of you might be already irritated by hearing the same song again, and again and again, but I don’t know when is the next change of song ... P.S : Don't ever think I am trying to remember the lyrics, if any.
- The background music & people: A secrete thing, none (includes my friends) of you knew about it. I don’t know how, but it happens every time I meet someone for the first time, a random song start playing in the background, in the most imaginary form, it can be any song and it acts as if an invisible identification mark for them. The interesting thing is that as of now for no two people the same song is played.
- Food Combo : This may sound strange but I do that, how often you mix daal and curd together that will be termed as an awesome combo. Ok! hold on that’s only one example and there are many such combo I do try while eating, you can’t believe its like foods from heaven. P.S : Try it at your own risk :P
- Photography : As you all might be knowing that there is this great photographer who is under making :P. I have my digi-cam always in my pocket, just as mobile phone. And I take pictures almost on daily basis of any objects at random times. You! got the photo message about ewaste, in this blog? Good, so keep it in your mind or check my blog again before carelessly throwing them (dead floppy, cd, dvd etc...) outside somewhere.
- Distance & Count : Whether I travel in train or bus or car or anything for long or short distance, somehow I always look for the milestones and count them as and when they come on my way, it also includes lamp posts/pillars, chai ka dukan (Tea shops), petrol pumps, level crossings, bridges etc... I still remember, I used to have a note book for the same. Thanks to my driving, now almost given up on it.
- Alarm Clock : There is an inbuilt alarm clock inside me, which helps me to wake-up anytime I wish. For instance, I can wake up at 5 A.M even though I went to bed at 2 AM, and then give a call anyone who are there in the list; to wake them up and request(demand?) to get ready on-time. If they dono pick the call, only! god can help them (I mean in terms of finishing their work or reaching at the desired place) :P.
- Travel Plans: 99.9% of my travel (holidays) plans are instantaneous, I never give a thought how to reach there, if no tickets available. I am still continuing this formula since my college days and that's about having some good fun which some of my friends dono like (woW what about a solo trip then? Yes! ofcourse).
- Pen: I have this love for my pens and I never throw them out, when it is officially declared as dead. I have used a single pen to write all my semester exams. The pen is still with me in a secured locker or inside a junkyard :)
Following the custom of the tag or say the rule here, I have to tag eight people back. So here is the list in no specific order Divya, Smriti, Just Call me ‘A’, Prashant, Poohi, Vagabond, Munmun, Priyanka.
P.S: I have a very clear intention of putting you guys in trouble :P, so come out of your shell and face the challenge. If you have already faced it then its time to prove that you can face more challenges.

The December!
The reality I live, I have always told myself that the world is nothing more or less than the image that you can create for yourself out of it. It’s my own world and I cherish every moment spent here. Looking at the retiring calendar hanging on the right hand side of my room’s wall, year after year, I have learned that each one of them has a purpose in it for us, to accomplish certain things that will determine where we are heading for … There was one such day for everyone of us to recognize that we have done something not just to prove anybody else then ourselves, followed by a quick realization that still a long way to go but you have taken the much needed step for it. Possibly, I can recall one such day of this year. I maybe blessed on many occasions but certainly the beginning of this year unveiled me a darker side of the life where I struggled to fight back for quite sometime before I could accept the impossible truth that there exists no life beyond your own imagination. Nevertheless, the beauty of life is that it demands from you only the strength you posses. A flash moment in life and then happened a series of good things here and there which eventually became part of the rollercoaster ride I am on.
Personally, I would like to count the year 2008 for everything that can come to my mind, a mixed bag. And with the countdown for the New Year 2009 is already started, amidst the global economic meltdown and around the chaos of terror attacks, finally found some reasons to cheer up and we at workplace celebrated this December together.

So I am hoping & wishing you all Merry Christmas and a very happy & prosperous New Year in advance.
P.S : I am back to business & gradually recovering from the bloody cold.

You Compare?
Life is like that you never know there is a better life in store. You see there is always something missing that you can never compare. So what’s more, now you are asking me for a better comparison?

And finally one day a silly me, gave one stupid solution! and smiles on everybody's faces back again. Wow! and for me an appreciation mail.
Life goes one with everything that we have and everything that we don’t have, e.g. stupidity and intelligence. :P

Left, right & Life!
You are different, your world is different and so your life is different. Every one of us here has something more to say about life and the lessons learnt from it. Maybe we already know some of them or maybe we are yet to know about everything that might happen in the life. So knowing others perspective on life is as important as your own. Whether it’s good, bad, ugly or beautiful you will identify only if you go on with the ones, having a bit of you in it :) See the difference; see a new world around you and explore it.
My search begins with me ... Well! Life is like a WINDOWS operating system where you can find an 'EXPLORER' key to identify what is there inside the folders that every time you made some changes to it. So keep checking in it. It’s your life and it’s your search. And In the end, …
In the very beginning of my life, I wanted to have answers for everything. But now I respect the fact that I can’t have answer for everything … - Paulo Coelho

OOO … Holiday Time :)
Yipppee! I am on vacation now, its almost 7 months or so by now since I am part of such a long holidays. There are lots of things that I am looking forward from this trip, needless mentioning I will be travelling like a mad. So if I think 3 eastern coastal cities in three different states are not long enough to tired me then I am always open to make some changes and add couple of more places to the list :). The other thing is that to witness one of the most exciting and beautiful festival in this part of the country which is popularly known as Dashera or Durga Puja.
Sometime, I wonder how things appear to be changed over the years and on the other hand this realization that as if nothing has changed at all. It keeps on reminding me that I am the same traveler who starts his journey with a renewed pair of eyes with every day passing by... And then it remains the same for you whether you associate some people with a place or some places with a group of people but time is one of thing that change without unveiling much about itself to a traveler ... Ah! do I need to say now that there is no such time called as the best time that someone can really think or wait to go on and meet the people who love you the most. Perhaps you don't know the speed of the time and don't mind anything :)
I was watching one of documentary video all through my train journey which is quite inspiring and reverencing. Honestly, its one of the best real-life video that I have watched in the recent past (I will write more about it in a separate post).
Now, here you go … that describes the theme of the video with few extracted lines from it …

Our nature’s beauty is something that the soul wants it. Whenever you see that a man is in contact with his soul then he enjoys a beautiful sky, a beautiful tree, a beautiful bird and suddenly you hear a piece of music, Oh! and then you lose your self. Everything seems to open up in a different way !!!
P.S: The picture above is taken by me ... I considered it as a beautiful gift for working late on a day ;)

An idea ! What do you think?
I didn’t react to his shout but quickly recalled a conversation about this ad with another friend … Later I asked santy, do we really need such an idea??
It’s not a difficult task for anybody to understand an ad, the sole purpose of it to sell a product and never an idea. They merely influence the real life but some people think they are smart enough to ply the emotional concept of advertising and gain the popularity. Needless mentioning, we hold the craze for celebs way too much ...
You see, now the focus is on something called a ‘Brand and that is known as Idea’ and never on some actual idea. Forget about the welfare of those old children and villages shown in the ads but to advertise the brand on their name. I wonder if they can ever spend a little amount of money to educate the poor children then simply paying it off on an ad, to a star who is already so rich.
Some people are carried away with such ads, what do you think what should be an idea to bring education to poorer and the poorest people? Now shifting the focus from product to people.

Weekend ways, movie mania !!!
I am back here again after a gap. Needless mentioning I am held up with tons of work and working long hours in office is what I find the only way to make myself free. How I wish, I have four hands :) and two brains with 2 GHz dual core inbuilt processors to finish my work quickly whenever I wanted to...Somehow I managed to watch a movie this week by taking off some free time. And I can’t believe the way I found this movie to watch and finally finishing it without taking a break or skipping a single sense. The movie was Serendipity, overall it was a great movie to watch. A perfect love story, I enjoyed it the way I did after watching the movie “A lot like love”. This was little older movie than the later but still I was never missed to watch this version of the love story. Now the interesting thing was that I picked this movie accidently and the story of the movie also talks about things happened accidently and how everything in our life happens for a reason. I must say it’s a well crafted movie and worth the time spent watching it.
The tagline of the movie is really appealing “Can Once In A Lifetime Happen Twice?” I could only able to realize how this movie coincidently put across all those untold things of life that somehow somewhere cross the path of most of us. And the best quote I picked from this movie - "Life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences. Uh-uh. But rather, its a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. And how do you figure out that something is going to happen or not in the very next moment, "Maybe the absence of signs is a sign."
I also watched another movie I guess sometime last week and surprisingly it’s neither English nor Hindi but Telugu. Actually I was counting it for the second time, in the first occasion I watched it all in first forward (FF) mode and I liked the movie very much. The fact remained the same for the second time also that I don’t understand Telugu but thanks to the English sub-titles for making it easy for me. I know most of you must have heard about this movie called “Bomarillu” (english meaning: A toy-house). A blockbuster movie which gave a different angle to the thoughts that not all movies with love story are the same. And yeah, you are right, though the story revolves around the hero and majority of it goes to Siddarth, I bet Genelia D'Souza performed exceptionally well in this movie. Now if you say, I am watching lots of Romantic/Family movies now a day, then well! I had enough with action and si-fi series and giving them a break from this hyper-active brain :DNow, before I go and wait for the next weekend to pop up here and you guys switch from my blog to some other url, make sure you listen to this song of Bomarillu because that's my favorite. Hey, then possibly don't forget to find your DVD to watch it completely, if you were not already watched.

Treasure – The Choco Smiles
It happened to me some long time back; I had received a pack of chocolates from an unidentified source (hahahah!!). I didn’t know who send it to me. The only thing I knew that my name was written on the ‘to address’ and it did its part of magic to bring a big smile on my face and nevertheless I re-visited those days I left some 20 or more years ago. It was then the days when I didn't know anything what a chocolate is for but always wish to have one in my hand and melt it inside the mouth. How I wish to see the crowd around me again, who enjoyed their part of share from it :)

Without thinking much, I recognized it as the treasure for having some great people around me. Though at that time I was at the receiver end, it was not difficult for me to understand 'the gift of giving something you have'. If I think of that day today, I can only wonder who that person can be!!!
I picked this picture today from my dusty memory for Cuckoo’s Point & Shoot gallery. I still remember, I put some of those chocolates on the table and just clicked on it and now it looks to me a thing of almost a year back happened as if yesterday :)

Some Random...
So we all started moving… But there was something going on inside my mind, walking down the stairs I realized some people are so much so into themselves that they never able to understand the need of knowing what’s there beyond there thoughts. It is always so easy for someone to tune into a defensive mode and start going against something but never for something. Perhaps, they are looking at the ultimate victory or the success that brings the happiness to them. And the only way they found out to this is to prove rest of the world wrong so that they become right. I can't imagine life is only based upon good and happy things but can it be the last thing?
It is now 3.30 AM, and my alarm clock refuses to be silent (errr...). Thanks to you again buddy; you woke me up. Suddenly I recalled, I had ordered my dinner yesterday night. The guy delivered it at the said time and I received it too but .. I turned towards the table and there it is still waiting for my attention. Ah haaaa! Now I understood why I woke up so so early :)

Journey of Life Continued ...
Probably somewhere, we have proved ourselves better or because we didn’t allow the better part to happen, and in between we met with our dreams and followed it as if they are the only meaning of the life. It become complex in its own terms and every time we tried simplifying it, an indication that we are never left behind with them. We speeded up to break the boundaries of silence; we crashed our paths many times chasing the ‘one thing’ and finally slay the noise realizing the fact that the 'one thing' can only be 'love' or maybe it's the 'irony of love'.
We know, we are all part of this journey, a little while ago not knowing the beginning we started it together and now don't know where it leads, whether it will remain un-changed or change is part of it, and ever since I choose my travel path I realized that the journey has no end but many beginnings ...

Journey of life!
I captured a moment in this picture at the entrance of some unknown village near B'lr.
The broken pieces of my life consisting the moments of my strengths & weakness … the tears & smiles ... loved & unloved … joy of begin there with the loved ones, the sorrow of going far away from them … the unknown smiling face of a friend, the known scary face of an enemy … the twists & turns … the ups & downs … the good & bad … the lost & found … the failures & successes, the darkness of sleepless nights & the brightness of sunny days and many many more of them. I believe all theses things in life always mark a change when it is least expected. A change that helped me to walk alone under the infinite sky, which given me a chance to learn and realize what I am today and brought me everything I wished sometime back, but then the very next moment it took away all those things it had given to me once. Perhaps an indication that life has found a different meaning, and you need to give it back the things that you really didn't find one by yourself. And the un-identified meaning remain as the sole guide to teach me how to move on with this endless journey once again. A reminder, that I have to travel the multifaceted paths until I identify the last destination and lose myself to it for the first time with the single piece of my soul.
To be continued …

The Moment!
If the time passes by you as if it will never change then probably you are living a life of a dead. If you are alive then you have to face the challenges that come with the day to day changes. It is impossible task to run from your life; you have to fight for it to make sure you live up to it, and for that unless you are ready to allow the change your life will never change, only the time will change which is un-stoppable. So expecting the unexpected is what gives a meaning to your dreams and fills the reality with all possible colors; the colors that describe the journey of your life.
For me it’s the journey and not the destination which sums up how the life is going to be ... ‘THE MOMENT’ – is where you live your life and it’s entirely yours and nobody can take it away from you or can change it for you. But there are times you prepare yourself may be mentally or physically for that ‘moment’, when it comes and stand right there in front of you sometime the meaning started changing and you see there are various other moments that effecting it as a whole, mindless or meaningless or just enough to knock you down. However, it’s completely in your hands to identify that ‘moment’ of yours where you want to live; in many ways it shows the character of an individual. And probably this is the time you see yourself at best making a decision and living up to it thereafter without the fear or the frustration chasing you.
If you are not able to part of the moment you are preparing for, then move on...; why blocking the way? its not yours anyway ... and backup plans are for people who live in a world of predications and fears; the fear of losing things and predicating the control over things that they never had …
I can associate the entire thought that is going inside my head right now with one of my favorite quotes - “I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.”- William Allen

Life never stops calling you !
Every decision taken in this life either made me stronger than before or weaker there after; but the spirit of living up to it with every second passing by… helped me identifying ‘me’ and my life become more meaningful than ever.

'Light is better over here' - A Syndrome ?
It happened accidently in the morning today; I was pointed to a PPT for some work related stuff. What I found there ... an interesting message was written in the first slide of the PPT; which is again has the entire meaning in it… and ther you go …
"A man is looking for his lost keys under the street lamp.
His companion tells him that he's probably dropped them near his car.
The man replies, "I know, but the light is better over here."

BLANK
These are the moments or time where you don’t feel anything, don’t want to know anything, and don’t think anything. You don’t ask for any reason, may be you are not looking for one either; and you have absolutely nothing inside your mind. Nothing at all, you are neither sad nor happy, not encouraged or discouraged. I was in a similar state of mind today. Apparently it was a BLANK state of mind that can be better explained without any words, where things can be looked upon beyond what they are and the silence find its new ways to reach the loudness spread across every corner.
It so happened automatically, whenever I chase this unknown state of BLANK, there I find music come for rescue. Often, I play electronic music and would like to lose my way out of this reality. This time I hooked myself to my most favorite collection of ‘Buddha Bar’. And there was only one song was there in the play list looping through almost the entire day. You too can check the music here … I am sure you will like the music.

Keys of life !
Sometime, it so happen that I just click on anything yes! anything. And ever since I have clicked this picture I am wondering why I did that ? There were so many thoughts just floating around my mind before I could settle down to write few lines ...
… And I can just relate this picture to so many things in my life so easily in so many different ways. The keypad is an integral part of my life and I wouldn’t surprise to see this plays a major role in the day-to-day life too. How I wonder this is not a mare input device for the computer but also as the basic interface between the man and the machine. Our life is so tightly attach with so many interfaces like this and I am amazed to see a invisible keypad controlling our life … and we just follow those instructions …
But somehow, this keypad has lacking the power what you can called the cognitive operation. And its you who owns that. Each of the keys has its own role to play, i.e. they hold the identity of a particular character ... If a wrong key is pressed due to whatsoever reason (say lacking of knowledge about the keys or an out of sync typing speed) then things will completely go wrong and probably convey a mis-interpreted meaning. Need not mention that there are keys which have multiple roles to play and somebody has to know the right combination of keys to find the right character out of it. And in the end; it’s the right meaningful word/sentence that is what matters in the life and thats what makes life the way it should be.
