Weekend Sunshine

I woke up not earlier than usual but witnessed the weekend sunshine that reminded me that I have yet another day to cheer for nothing less than what it is :) A full new day is smiling at me through the window of happiness …

The happiness I seek is all within …

In my work, In my life, In the place where I live and In the people who love me, who keep the faith in me in spite of every odd. There are many more things that I am yet to discover and may be it’s beyond the purview of something outside but then the continuity with in or out has many more things to cheers for!

It requires the minimum effort to understand that we are a mix of some simple and not so simple traits of life. And finally ... "happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but by recognizing and appreciating what we have."

Adieu!

Walking down the memory lane, I was surprised to see some of the wordless moments that I have captured in my mobile-camera at my office’s WF (Whitefield) campus. It was only on the last day at WF campus that I realized how many things have changed since I first registered my presence here. This January I bid adieu to the place and look at today, now I am all set to capture new moments, gather memories and witness the non-stop world again at the brand new campus.

The unending sky & heavenly sunshine on the way...

I never wanted to let go those moments, they were silently become part of my life and blessed me on many of the occasions.

The years turned black & white, but the memories nevertheless will remain colorful.

"We do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in memories we have forgotten...

Cup of Coffee!

A cup of coffee… all that I nee to keep me awake any time- any where :) Oh! well it just work like a magic if you work late, or need to kick that laziness out from inside. Some times it’s so easy, so simple, so refreshing and the only thing I can have to offer to you :). You know! What I mean, no? Yaayyyy!

It's the grace of god that life exists beyond its meaning and it’s the grace of human that coffee gives so many meaning to our lives …

I found something interesting, chose your option :
C:\COFFEE.POT missing (A)bort (R)etry (F)all asleep?

P.S: The picture was taken at my pad around 2 A.M yesterday and the coffee (Nescafe Classic) was prepared by again me :)

The-Weird-Me!

I am not dancing but its tag time, I know most of the times I am far away from this tagging business, and surely added my name in your hate-list. Gosh! that’s the worst thing accepted from anyone. So here I am trying to act like damage controller and started with my first tag of the year and thanks to Cuckoo, for being the source for this time. The tag is all about to let you guys know eight weird things about me.

Weird??? Oh! weird, somehow sounds me, who you actually are … but people don’t like to see it that way normally and they often don’t do it either. Now, guess what!!! Its impossible task for me to restrict myself to the number eight because those who know me, they can speak better for me that the weirdo I am :P. So please, don’t skip reading the rest of the post ... here you go….

  • Songs : I am very found of music and its become integral part of my life ever since I know what my name is :). Music, songs everywhere, inside my phone, iPod, laptop and whatever that can play it. I load them with my favorite songs & music to make sure where ever I go; I find them without any difficulties. So what’s the weird thing in it? I can listen to one of my favorite song 24x7, you will hardly find there is more than one song in my playlist. I can listen the song continuously non-stop, sometimes for more than a week … For instance, I am listening only one song ‘Life In Technicolor II - Coldplay’ for the last three days. I know some of you might be already irritated by hearing the same song again, and again and again, but I don’t know when is the next change of song ... P.S : Don't ever think I am trying to remember the lyrics, if any.

  • The background music & people: A secrete thing, none (includes my friends) of you knew about it. I don’t know how, but it happens every time I meet someone for the first time, a random song start playing in the background, in the most imaginary form, it can be any song and it acts as if an invisible identification mark for them. The interesting thing is that as of now for no two people the same song is played.

  • Food Combo : This may sound strange but I do that, how often you mix daal and curd together that will be termed as an awesome combo. Ok! hold on that’s only one example and there are many such combo I do try while eating, you can’t believe its like foods from heaven. P.S : Try it at your own risk :P

  • Photography : As you all might be knowing that there is this great photographer who is under making :P. I have my digi-cam always in my pocket, just as mobile phone. And I take pictures almost on daily basis of any objects at random times. You! got the photo message about ewaste, in this blog? Good, so keep it in your mind or check my blog again before carelessly throwing them (dead floppy, cd, dvd etc...) outside somewhere.

  • Distance & Count : Whether I travel in train or bus or car or anything for long or short distance, somehow I always look for the milestones and count them as and when they come on my way, it also includes lamp posts/pillars, chai ka dukan (Tea shops), petrol pumps, level crossings, bridges etc... I still remember, I used to have a note book for the same. Thanks to my driving, now almost given up on it.

  • Alarm Clock : There is an inbuilt alarm clock inside me, which helps me to wake-up anytime I wish. For instance, I can wake up at 5 A.M even though I went to bed at 2 AM, and then give a call anyone who are there in the list; to wake them up and request(demand?) to get ready on-time. If they dono pick the call, only! god can help them (I mean in terms of finishing their work or reaching at the desired place) :P.

  • Travel Plans: 99.9% of my travel (holidays) plans are instantaneous, I never give a thought how to reach there, if no tickets available. I am still continuing this formula since my college days and that's about having some good fun which some of my friends dono like (woW what about a solo trip then? Yes! ofcourse).

  • Pen: I have this love for my pens and I never throw them out, when it is officially declared as dead. I have used a single pen to write all my semester exams. The pen is still with me in a secured locker or inside a junkyard :)

Following the custom of the tag or say the rule here, I have to tag eight people back. So here is the list in no specific order Divya, Smriti, Just Call me ‘A’, Prashant, Poohi, Vagabond, Munmun, Priyanka.

P.S: I have a very clear intention of putting you guys in trouble :P, so come out of your shell and face the challenge. If you have already faced it then its time to prove that you can face more challenges.

A day that was never before!...

Almost three years that I have spent at this place, at the very same building and before I can say BEY! to this place I wanted to go back to the past and collect some of my pictorial memories associated with it. With mist covered surrounding and the chilliness in the waves …. things were turning out much prettier than before. For a moment I couldn’t believe that this is the place where I spend almost time of a day and sometimes night.

So here you go, the pictures (re-posting with this blog) that I have taken a year back or so, of the much remembered beautiful day ...

The untold story of a misty morning …

There are so many pictures that I have taken on several occasions in and around this place but these pictures are attached to some of my virtually unforgettable memories! maybe it is not as mysterious as I would think.

Happy weekend

A daY ShOrt cUt !!!

A very important software application, intermittently crash , an important customer, one critical issue, multiple memory violations, 6 engineers, 180 days, thousands & thousands lines of code, 150 e-mails, uncountable no. of discussions, failed attempts, attitude, superiority, seniority, credibility, silence, concerns, questions, frustration, patience … but it remained all the same that as an issue.

And finally one day a silly me, gave one stupid solution! and smiles on everybody's faces back again. Wow! and for me an appreciation mail.

Life goes one with everything that we have and everything that we don’t have, e.g. stupidity and intelligence. :P

You say - "woes of a software programmer" or whatever, life is like that :)

Hey, rains come again :)

It was one of those hectic week at my work place and barely able to find time to do anything else apart from the office works. Imagine, coming back from office and you even don’t feel like removing those cloths or searching for the right one and just like that go to bad to signal that end of day; the very next day you find your things are scattered everywhere inside the house; the books, clothes and everything else :). Oh! I realized then at times we also need to be focused on balancing the time for works at home is also important. But again it’s an art that we learn everyday and try to improve everyday. Yeah! The good thing is that I am not tired of doing all those works and until now nobody has complained about it, hopefully I can finish them over the coming weekend.

Yesterday, I thought of starting at the usual time from office (work hours) and luckily I did manage to do so. I don’t know whether it was by luck or something … I encountered with some real special things, the memories where refreshed and without no time the child inside me took over the control :). Can you guess who are they? Yeah! you are right, clouds and rains :P... Do I really need to say that they are the welcome guest in B’lr and they don’t follows anybody’s time rule (ummmh! maybe only one person’s). Not so surprisingly! it was started pouring heavily, just when people were on their way to catch the buses/cabs parked around the campus. I noticed that all of a sudden most of them rushed to the opposite direction finding a place to shed. When I reached the at ground floor entrance/exit corridor to discover a crowd, that was already waiting there for rains to stop (I guess they were the most affected ones :) ). Some of them were mumbling ufff this rain ... blah blah ...

I already had a glimpses of the rain while coming down the stairs and that was enough for me to knowledge the nature's call without being wasting any more time to disappear with the crowd ;). And as usual my third eye was quite alerted not to miss any of those awing moments.

my favorite ...

I walked slowly towards the crowd to find a narrow path, and there I go ... on my way soaking the rain water, enjoying the rhythms, feeling the touch of the silvery drops, gradually losing yourself with the amazingly weather surrounding and then leaving behind some shouts from unseen faces... Hahahahah!!!

I know an inspired soul can do amazing stuffs :) and the weather needs no words.

on way back; I was at cloud 9 :D

'Kya aapko K.I.L.B hai?' Any ides what this guy is asking ? :D

Oh! did I mention? after reaching home I just went on to sleep without doing anything until buddy woke me up at 4 A.M :D

And I didn’t find a better time than this to think about what happened yesterday, and to quote the un-quote ..

"May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you and all your heart might desire."

You guys have a wonderful day!

Some good things…

There were those few moments in life where someone can actually realizes the importance or the meaning of a day. As said, somebody change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they're right. When I look back; I see all of them on the trace path, ever so long yet incomplete ...

Well! there was one such moment for me and I want to share that with all of you here. Thursday, I received the ‘Best performer in the team' award at my work place. I was glad to see it in my hands :). No doubt it has given me a new direction for striving the best out of me. I have this realization that its a continuous process of involving self in the exponential curve of learning. Finally, I have only one thing to say 'Thank You' for giving me this opportunity.

better late than never !

Time is the best example of change … a change that is a must. And off late I have realized that it’s never too late to catch up with the things you like the most, it goes exactly with the saying 'better late than never'. Ever since you started doing things the way you like, regularly and frequently ... it ends up with a habit. There is no end to how many habits a person can have … good ones, bad ones, cool ones, not so cool ones and what not everything counts.

I have had one such habit and over the period … I just lost the way it should be … now time has come again and I am all set with my favorite collection of books to start all over it again, to read … read & read all the books I have now. And its decided upon this weekend … Sunday is going to be dedicated for the sole purpose. This time I bought couple of books upon Diva’s recommendation and ‘Veronika Decides to Die’ top the list. Also ‘The Fifth Mountain’ is one of my favorites of Paulo Coelho collection.

Oh! my goodness, to surprise me when I opened the cupboard I found there are so many books waiting in the queue to get my attention, how I wish I will take off some time and spend long days reading all those books. Well, there are books I don’t mind at all reading for the 2nd, 3rd … or any no. of time until I stored them in my memory, so that I wouldn’t miss it again :) And one such book is ‘A Brief History of Time’. So there I go ….

Sunday happenings!

It was on of those rare Sunday; I was completely relaxing at my pad and had good naps all over the day. As I am still new to the present locality, in the evening it was the time to explore the neighborhood …

If I go on describing the Sunday for me in short and straight it went like this … late wake up alarm, Himanshu, brunch at 1 P.M., An American Crime (great story & direction), Anj, hitting the techie bug, Anand Bhawan, Soundar, laughing lound, long evening walk, 10000 B.C (a superb movie, must watch) and the song Zara Sa (K.K.) rocks the entire day …

And one of those funny moments in the day with one of my buddy …
me : hey buddy ! whats up ? long time …
buddy : haan yaar ! really long time. sorry man, I was not able to call you up in between .. I am just overloaded with so much of office work …
me : oh ! that happens; no worry and you don’t be sorry for that … aur sab kaisa chaal raha hai ?
buddy : yaar, kya bataon … so much of pressure, don’t find time for myself… how do people handle such pressure ?
me : come on ! pressure hai tu saarke upar lekar nahi ghoomna cahiye, ushko nichese khali kardo :D
buddy : what ? gone mad … laughing loud.

Update: fisnished wathing the movie called ‘A lot like love’ (again 2nd time, the first time was in FF mode). The best thing about the movie is, its wonderful story line … and the songs makes it more beautiful (need to mention about it, which requires another post :) ). Never mind if somebody says it echoes "When Harry Met Sally".

BLANK

Today being just another day life took its usual course; things were finding their own ways without any trouble. Also, there was no change in weather here and to add good things it was raining on and off. On the other hand I finished some of the messy office work on time. There were so many other reasons that would place things on a happier nod. Wonder if it was the call of peace or the peace was far away from me. Off late, I have realized that being happy doesn’t indicate that you are living with peace. Nevertheless you always search for your share of peace and the peace you find inside yourself will carry the happiness around you but not the vice-versa. But I don’t know somehow, somewhere … something was stuck inside me though it looked perfectly OK. I have no idea whether it happens to others too but one thing that I know it is very difficult to understand that situation, as what ? and why ?

These are the moments or time where you don’t feel anything, don’t want to know anything, and don’t think anything. You don’t ask for any reason, may be you are not looking for one either; and you have absolutely nothing inside your mind. Nothing at all, you are neither sad nor happy, not encouraged or discouraged. I was in a similar state of mind today. Apparently it was a BLANK state of mind that can be better explained without any words, where things can be looked upon beyond what they are and the silence find its new ways to reach the loudness spread across every corner.

It so happened automatically, whenever I chase this unknown state of BLANK, there I find music come for rescue. Often, I play electronic music and would like to lose my way out of this reality. This time I hooked myself to my most favorite collection of ‘Buddha Bar’. And there was only one song was there in the play list looping through almost the entire day. You too can check the music here … I am sure you will like the music.

Whatever the case for this state of BLANK, sometime it givse me the strength to be with the life and see myself as the way I am, just like the dots inside a line :)

Laddu :)

There can’t be a specific reason why I am happy today, probably today everything went all my way or may be today it was my day or may be because today I received these laddus, my most favorite of all sweets.

A long way to go ...

If I look back it is just another day, but it was not... Putting the lights off, I could see the reflection of the darkness which reminded me that I don’t have anything to worry as I have traveled with them so far, seeing those days & years passing by me. Its going to be a new beginning … even though you do the same things again and again but different, it has a hope filled with in it for the new day where things are not be the same. I am blessed, and I should be thankful to this life and the almighty for they given me this life. The life that moves on with the unstoppable time, it has everything that helped you and me grow together and see dreams come true but still a long way to go to ...

I am one more year older now; a year completed by leaving all those little pains behind, accepting the mistakes and failures that made me stronger then before, and cherishing those pleasurable moments that brought the success and encouraged to dream more and do more each day – every day.

I must be thankful to each one of you to be part of this life and being there always irrespective of the time and constrains. Needless mentioning here, your wishes made it special for me again :)

Weekend - Zameen par :)

These days I am occupied with almost everything and have very less time for myself to spend the way I want. It seems those old trip days are going to come back shortly – and I can tell you, there are at least 4 trips in the pipe-line for next two months yippee !!!! I am gonna make it to all of them, surely.

Now a days, I can find a new trend in blogging – to keep thing short and straight. I thought I will start writing something similar about my last weekend. So here goes …

Saturday - Dhaaba, Rohit,100 ft road, shopping, Tare Zameen par, stones, Himanshu, Moma, granny, dreams...
Sunday - Gurdwara, langar, Rohit, Anj, Lidoo mall & shopping again, serious discussions, laughing aloud, old friends, Moma, Anj, American Gangster, Mithya and my dreams.

What a weekend that was – I can't say rocking but yeah ! quite relaxing and felt pretty much happy. Watched three movies, all of them were superb and coincidentally close to reality, infact American gangster is based on a real story… awesome !!!

The highlight of the weekend was the langar, I felt so good. Thanks to buddy who out of sudden pulled or rather encouraged me to come along with him and had some quality time there.

And back again to weekdays, life goes on ……

Weekend Again !!!

Last week, last to last week and some more weeks added to my lists of the busiest days. Some times they influence me to stay away from things that I really don’t wanted to. Things are going pretty much my ways but again I am occupied with so many stuffs, hardly finding any time to think about myself. Now, what next? I don't know whether it's an indication that I am living in pieces? or life is just like that ... You like to be busy then lazy with things you can not hold your attention but hey! maybe it’s a sign of being what you are inspite of what others demand from you forgiving their indifferences, and you just go by the time - the present time. I don't know whether time will remain by my side but certainly now I have smiles for no apparent reasons and guess I mustn’t go crazy about it.

On this lazy weekend, listening to some of my most favorite 'Linkin Park’ songs, is one of the best things I can think of right at this moment. They can simply rock anything that comes on your way. I was dying for a break and here it is ... re-discovering the fact that a blank, a silence & a dark not always bring us something odd, bad or ugly. Of course! they can also be marked for something good or better reason :)

Enjoy the wonderful lyrics from the album ‘Minutes to Midnight’

Shadow of the day ...
I close both locks below the window
I close both blinds and turn away
Sometimes solutions aren't so simple
Sometimes goodbye's the only way.

And the sun will set for you
The sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey
And the sun will set for you.

In cards and flowers on your window
Your friends all plead for you to stay
Sometimes beginnings aren't so simple
Sometimes goodbye's the only way.

And the sun will set for you
The sun will set for you
And the shadow of the day
Will embrace the world in grey
And the sun will set for you.

Weekend Smiles :)

Life has so many different things stored for us at some point or other. Nevertheless, you could find a different meaning or a simple reason for them every time you have one such thing with you. Guess what? I caught with some overwhelming feelings tonight. But for sure I have one or more reasons not to worry or overlook it. I don’t know but "the thought of being incomplete disappears when you just feel likes what you are" and there can't be anything that can beat being like "Me".

I guess, the changes happening around me are for good and am I blissful, yet? … Wow ! it feels so good ... I didn’t even realize that I am done with one of those hectic and terribly loaded work week and that's where I see the magic :)

A Day :)

Things are never the same, yeah! everyone knows “in life change is the only constant thing". It happened to me many times before and I wouldn't surprise to thinking about something unexpected. Well! I am quite enjoying the way life turned back the things to me. Hence, no complaints whatsoever. What more living every moment as if it will never come again and re-living it as if its never going to end. There are ups and downs in every but what is so different is the mantra, which tells us never to stop and never to stuck, is what a happy life all about. And today I experienced it.

The day started as usual with a happy note, some catchy music on the way to office and all the things are on track. On the other hand I am happy these days for not fighting with the morning traffic jam, Thank God!!. Moving towards after noon I got a call from one of my very old friend of my college days, it has been more than 3 years since I met any of my college buddies and to my surprise he started discussing with me, guess what !! the plan for reunion. The good thing about it is that the purposed place is Mumbai. I can’t believe it, just few days back I received a call from another graduation class mate for similar event in Hyd. I know most of them are far away and busy with their day to day work life and the same plan didn't work out for the last year. But now things have been changed completely; I wish all of us can work in the same place, like we used to be there in the college class room :). Let’s see how things are going in coming days and certainly I am looking forward to both of the events.

Then in the evening it was a much awaited meeting with 'granny' friend for the dinner. It was pending for quite some time, never mind we managed to find a quite & nice place with a good menu. Then move on to meet “Sim” for the first time. She is a gal who has good sense of humor. I guess she loves to make everyone around her to laugh as much as they can, the same way her friends do.

Now, back again … to my place, waiting for the day break.

Hello World !!!

Hello there everyone, I am alok! a techie by choice, by profession and a dreamer by birth. Off late, I realised that in life there is no limit you can ever set for yourself that can measure how far you can go with your dreams. Their existence is true to this world as much as it is for you. Every single day passing by me, I try to be a good human being, a good individual, a good citizen to the country, a good employee to the employer, and no doubt there are so many things that I keep on trying to identify the good in them which some way or other helped me what I am right now. I know how it feels to be just ‘me’!!!! Perhaps, the only way I can make this life beautiful and above all this world around me, is not just by what I am, but what I can be!! And that’s where I see myself trying; keep on trying, remain truthful and not thinking about stopping ever!

I believe life is a thread of continuous journeys one after another; journeys where you run, walk, stumble, drive and fly, or lose yourself at many places and times. But you hold your nerves, back yourself not to lose the sight of the reasons for the journey or never miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way before you are rewarded with the destination. In the end; the pains become your fuel, the confidence become your strengths, the flashing moments become your ideas and the smiles become your success for this journey. And then the joy of being with life and walking together is something that I can’t put it here in words :)

So here I am with the bit of me bingeing with my ‘Hello World’ attempt here to share the tiny experiences of life and continuing with my attempts to see this unseen world around me as never before.

Thank you!
